Farewell to the Morris County Athletic League!
Last Games Play Sunday !
To All,
After 32 years of existence, the Morris County Athletic League will be taking down the nets and calling it a season for good! This Sunday's Championship Games for the 2017 Winter Season will be the very last games played. Unfortunately, time has taken its toll (I am healthy..just work related concerns) and the league has gotten away from me. For those that were scheduled to play this upcoming Spring Season, we will not be able to maintain a league schedule, I apologize for the late notice, however, too many things are working against us in running the league.
I am truly grateful for all of those that have been around for such a long time and have been a huge part of our organizations' success!. Certainly, Bob Millar, Derrick Aikens, Billy Medina, Bobby Courts, Steve Jackson, Kevin Pizzuta, and Mike Hennessey is owed a huge Thank You and of course, league co-organizer Fausto Alarcon, I am always in your debt!
Thank You All for such being such a huge part of the Parsippany Community.
Respectfully,
Ron Dahlhaus

Fall Season Championships..A Great Night of Hoops!
There is no more fitting way to end the year, complete our season and crown two champions than what was witnessed by all in attendance at the MCAL Championships, Monday, November 14th at the Parsippany PAL! We saw four teams, each play their hearts out, play as professional of a game as one can play! No second guessing referees. No yelling, no complaining. Just two great games by 4 fantastic teams and in the end...two Champions...Coastal...for a three-peat and Pavinci Prime Times for their First Ever League Title!
The first game was a low scoring contest early on as it was just 12 - 12 with 8 minutes left in the first half. Then Pavinci started to hit some big shots as game MVP Jarred hit a big three and Tyron hit three threes in a row to pull away at half 29-16. Pick One fought back in the second half, closing the gap to 2 and it went back and forth. Jarred went off in the second half, leading all scorers with 25 as Pavinci took the West Title 61-50!
Then came the East boys, with Coastal, looking for their third title this year and MC Elite, looking to get back to the winners circle faced off in what was an epic battle! Back and forth as Coastals Spence and game MVP was on fire as he torched the nets with 29 points, while MC Elites Jesse hit for 25 and Matt C hit for 20 as the two teams exchanged the lead throughout the entire game! In the end, it was Coastal who proved too much as they pulled away with less than a minute left ending with a 68-61 win and title number three this year! Congrats to our winners and what a great night for basketball at the MCAL!
Thank You all for a great season!
